In north side of Puputan Badung is standing up the office which is called Jaya Sabha that is an official office for Bali’s Governor accepts the important guest for having dinner while enjoying the Balinese Culture Show. In eastside of Puputan Badung, it had been built a Hindu temple on 1968 that is called Jagatnatha Temple. This Temple is a public temple to worship Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa / God. Especially each full moon, The Hindu people in Denpasar come to this place in particular at the evening time. In south side of this temple, there is Bali Museum built on 1931 by architect of Curt Grundler. Its architecture is a combination between temple and empire palace. This Museum contains the artistic object collection or artifact from prehistoric era until modern-day. Another place is becoming tourist destination is a palace of Puri Pamecutan. There are lodgings for the tourist accommodations are available in this palace. This palace is rebuilt as according to its geniuses after broken by Dutch soldier on 1906 and in this palace is kept a set famous ‘Gold Gamelan’ as empire heritage.

Bedugul and Lake Beratan

Bedugul is located 48 km north of Denpasar , on the main road from South Bali to the North Coast (Lovina and Singaraja). Bedugul is a mountain town in Bali, located in the centre-north region of the island near Lake Bratan on the road between Singaraja and Denpasar. Other nearby lakes isLake Buyan, and Lake Tamblingan. Major sites in Bedugul are the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan water temple and the Bedugul Botanical Gardens. Bedugul enjoys mild mountain weather due to its location at an altitude of about 1500 m above the sea level. Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, or Pura Bratan, is a major water temple on Bali, the other major water temple being Pura Ulun Danu Batur. The temple complex is located on the shores of Danau Bratan (Lake Bratan) in the mountains near Bedugul. Water temples serve the entire region in the outflow area; downstream there are many smaller water temples that are specific to each irrigation association.
Bedugul is the garden of Bali, producing lots of fruits and vegetables. In the market you can find strawberries, corn, and lots of spices. There is also an art market with lots of handicrafts.Bedugul Botanical Garden or Kebun Raya Eka Karya is the huge tropical garden located in Bedugul, plateau area in Bali. It is situated in the cool atmosphere with rain forest and hill surrounds it. This botanical garden is opened on 1959 and owns 154,5 ha land located Tabanan regency, northwest part of Bali. It is close to the beautiful lake which is called Beratan Lake and Ulun Danu Temple. It is completed by more than 1187 plant types and multifarious of floras. In this area, there is orchid garden with the collection of 320 orchid types from Bali , Java, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Sulawesi and also Irian Jaya. We can also meet the rose garden with the collection of various rose from rust colored until green chromatic.

Alas Kedaton Monky Forest

Alas Kedaton is a small forest with the width about 6-7 ha located in the middle of the rice field inTabanan regency, west part of Bali. The total size of this forest, temple and its supporter facility is about 12 ha. In this forest, there is a temple called Alas Kedaton. Temple and owns the natural environments that is looked green with its fresh air and create the calm, quite and holy atmosphere. The monkeys in Alas Kedaton are very tame and free gallivanting in temple yard, so that the calm atmosphere is sometime solved by noise voice of the monkey, which are playing around and scrambling of food. The monkeys who dwell in this forest, there are jump up and down in templewall, take a bath in moat or there is also hang out in few leaves representing impression view. The monkey like as custodian oftemple, which are always ready to greet all visitor who are paying a visit to this place. Beside monkeys, in Alas Kedatonforest also can be met the bats and some other animals. At least 24 types of grove plant have been identified in Alas Kedaton. Alas Kedaton is located in Kukuh countryside, Marga Sub district, Tabanan Regency. The journey go to this place can be done easily by using motor vehicle follow the major roadway from Denpasar to Tabanan. On the way go to this touristplace, we will see the beautiful nature view where in front of us will meet the carpet of rice field and irrigation voice at the side of road to bear the impression/peaceful atmosphere. Alas Kedaton Temple have three yard that are external yard, middle and center yard. In the center and middle yard are encircled by wall and the outside yard is representing a open yard.

The interesting point of this temple is the inside yard representing holy yard, its situation lower than the middle yard. This thing is different compare with the general temples in Bali that are more goes to inside the temple, the more higher the place will be. Beside of that another interesting point of this temple owns four entrances. Temple Festival. The temple ceremony in Alas Kedaton Temple is carried out every 210 days a year. It is on Anggarakasih Medangsia (Balinese Hindu Calendar) or on every Tuesday where on that time the society do the worship or pray to request the safety and prosperity. The unique in this ceremony is doing not use the fire and does not hence Penjor and also finished before the sunset or before the night is come. In growth of handling of this tourist destination, Alas Kedaton has several become a training location about tourism nature, environmental handling and agro tourism. Alas Kedaton is many visited by the tourist from local and foreign countries which are generally a lot of paying a visit on August, December until January, while the local tourist generally pay a visit on holiday season and feast day of Ramadan (Moslem holiday) and this place is good to be visited in the day time. In front of Alas Kedaton temple there are quite a lot small shops selling the handicraft as souvenir, for example clothes, pants and other handicrafts. Others, there are some shops booth selling food and beverage, toilet and park area which is wide enough.

Bali Art Center
